POINTS TO CONSIDER:
1) Procurement will utilize the GSA cooperative contract # GS-35F-0415V, under the Purchasing Ordinance (2008-09): Sec. 2-75. Cooperative Purchasing Agreements
Independent of the requirement of sections 2-48, 2-51, 2-53 through 2-55, and 2-77 of this manual, and as prescribed in Title 11, Chapter 35, Article 19, Section 11-35-4610 and 4810 of the State Consolidated Procurement Code, the Purchasing Officer may procure items, to include but not limited to supplies, equipment or services through cooperative purchasing agreements with an external procurement activity.
2) The new recording equipment meets the next generation standards for 9-1-1 recording equipment and state law requirements. Some of the new features include increased storage capabilities, the ability to redact sensitive medical and juvenile information, recording screen shots of the of the 9-11-call screen, allowing for quality assurance reviews and an increase in the ability to search and locate vital information.
3) Service from the provider has been very good. They offer 24/7 support/monitoring an unlimited training. During hurricanes and other crucial events they maintain communications with the center and make sure the recorder stays in operation.
